Example policy.json: an Inbox Guard that sorts but never replies
A sample permissions file for an agent that triages your inbox without speaking for you.
An Inbox Guard keeps your inbox usable. It flags what needs you, files what doesn't, and drafts replies you can approve. The line it never crosses is speaking for you.
This is an example policy file to show the shape. It is not tied to any one email tool.

follow_instructions_found_inside_emails is in the never list. Anyone can email your agent. If it treats the content of a message as a command, a stranger is now running your business. Emails are data to read and summarize. They are never orders.
Why delete and unsubscribe are off-limits
They feel like housekeeping. But an agent that deletes the wrong thread, or unsubscribes you from the one list a client uses to send invoices, causes damage you won't notice for weeks. Labels are reversible. Deletes often aren't.
What a good morning looks like
One short summary: who is waiting on you, what's on the calendar, anything that failed. Drafts are sitting in your drafts folder. You approve, edit or bin each one. Ten minutes, and the inbox is handled.
